ORCHWA is committed to protecting your privacy, and every effort will be made to protect it and to ensure that personal information entered on this site is used only for purposes pertinent to creating and maintaining your ORCHWA membership. This Statement of Privacy applies to the ORCHWA web site and membership database and related services. It must be recognized that ORCHWA is a general audience web site, intended for users of all ages.
All members of ORCHWA are asked to provide the organization with basic contact information and membership particulars, which is used solely for the purpose of internal membership records and billing purposes. ORCHWA may also contact you via email or survey to conduct internal research about your opinion of current ORCHWA services, changes in current services, or of potential new services. We do not use or disclose personal information that is identified as solely meant for internal ORCHWA purposes without your explicit consent, and ORCHWA does not sell, rent or lease its membership lists to third parties.
We hire other companies to provide limited services on our behalf, such as processing membership orders and payment transactions, and housing our membership only services such as our forums and internal listserv. We will only provide those companies the personal information they need to deliver the service. They are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information and are prohibited from using that information for any other purpose.
ORCHWA is committed to protecting the security of your personal information. We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. For example, we store the personal information you provide on computer systems with limited access which are located in controlled facilities. When we transmit highly confidential information (such as a credit card number) over the Internet, we use a secure payment gateway so your information is protected.
ORCHWA may access and/or disclose your personal information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on ORCHWA or the site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of ORCHWA, including its Web site; or (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of ORCHWA or the public.
To aid members in networking and collaborating, statewide or regionally, you have the option of providing additional information beyond the ones required when you sign up for membership, and you can change that at any time by logging into your member account, and you can change the default settings of your online profile by managing your account's privacy settings. Additionally, you may notify us of your preferences by emailing us. Please be sure to provide complete account information so we can identify you in our records.
By using the ORCHWA membership area, you agree that the laws of the state of Oregon, without regard to principles of conflict of laws, will govern these Conditions of Use and any dispute of any sort that might arise between you and ORCHWA.
Memberships run for one calendar year from the date of activation; renewal dates are individual to each member and will not happen automatically. Online payments and credit card information is securely processed and stored through our partner, Affinipay.
You will be invoiced when you submit your membership application. Online payment allows you to better manage your own account and reduces our administrative overhead, and ultimately frees more of your membership fees for direct services to our members. Your invoice will make our terms clear.
You will be notified and invoiced 30 days before your membership renewal is due, and memberships that go unpaid automatically lapse 14 days after the renewal date, after which you can no longer self-renew. You will receive notification and receipt for all charges.
Prior to any renewal, licensed members will receive reminders to allow you to cancel or change your membership options. As a registered member, you can edit your account and payment method at any time prior to your renewal date. Your renewal extends your membership to one year from your due date (regardless of when you pay), so early renewals are welcome and will not shorten your membership period.
If membership is cancelled at any time, the membership will remain active until the end of the subscription term, and there will be no refund (pro-rated or other) of the membership fee for any remaining portion of the subscription period. Members may change their membership level at any time; please note that changing your membership renews you for a full year, so we recommend changing your membership level near renewal time or contacting us to pro-rate you mid-cycle.
There will be no refund (pro-rated or other) of the membership fee for downgraded memberships during a current billing cycle, but the lower membership fee will take effect when invoiced for the next billing cycle.
